A Boutique Firm with a Personal Mission

Empowering Financial Freedom was created to help people get their financial affairs in order and make smarter decisions about their future.

“My business protects people’s assets and grows their wealth so they can actually retire with peace,” Jacqueline Proffit shared.

Before launching the firm, Proffit spent 20 years in corporate marketing and later facilitated Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University at church. That experience revealed a deep need among families and business owners for practical guidance around money, planning, and protection.

What began as a passion for helping her church community has grown into a nationwide business serving approximately 1,500 clients.

Serving Business Owners, Baby Boomers, and NIL Athletes

Empowering Financial Freedom works with three primary client groups.

First, the firm supports business owners who need both growth-minded strategy and financial protection. With Proffit’s marketing background, she brings a unique perspective to helping entrepreneurs understand where to invest, where to save, and how to avoid putting money in the wrong places.

Second, the firm helps Baby Boomers navigate the complex transition into Medicare, Social Security, and retirement planning. Proffit’s MBA and commitment to continuous learning help guide clients through decisions that can feel overwhelming.

Third, Empowering Financial Freedom works with college athletes and families navigating NIL, or name, image, and likeness, contracts. The goal is to help young athletes and their families protect new income opportunities so that wealth can last for decades, rather than disappear quickly.

 

 

A Family Partnership

Proffit’s husband Daniel joined the firm when she joined Intelligent Office two years ago, and they work side by side. Daniel manages the home and auto division and oversees all paperwork to ensure compliance, bringing essential operational support to the practice.

Why Intelligent Office

Proffit has been working with Intelligent Office for two years. She chose the Jacksonville location because she wanted a central, professional place to meet clients without taking on the overhead of a full office buildout.

She also wanted a strong professional setting with a great view, useful amenities, and the ability to meet clients from across the area conveniently.

For Empowering Financial Freedom, the biggest value has been flexibility.

Proffit appreciates being able to use conference rooms, access support services when needed, and take advantage of additional resources such as printing and other office support. She also values the option to use other locations, including Ponte Vedra, when it makes sense for her schedule and clients.
